The King George Public School Earth Club, Grade 4-5 students, raised $3,028 at their Family-Friendly Dance Party on May 14, 2016. Their donation went towards 2 Stewardship Acres as part of the Laurier Woods is Growing campaign and a bench.

The Kiwanis Aktion Club of North Bay developed a project to sell tree stickers in support of the Laurier Woods is Growing campaign.
As a surprise the Aktion Club had made up their own cheque for $2,000!! to sponsor two full acres at Laurier Woods.
