"Walk With Friends"
Boardwalk Replacement Project

April 2022 - The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority & the Friends of Laurier Woods determined it was time to replace the 2 deteriorating boardwalks that skirt the main pond and provide key access to the Woods - including new footings, decking, a safety border along the edges & increased width to allow for improved safety and capacity with the increasing number of visitors to the Woods. The Friends of Laurier Woods Board set a goal to raise $30,000 in donations from local businesses, organizations and individuals.

The fundraising campaign was launched on March 1st and was planned to run until November 3rd. As of the end of September the goal was surpassed with a total of over $43,000 in donations with the campaign being brought to an early close.
